Brü₁ — The Heart

Our specialty coffee shops are more than just places to grab a cup of coffee; they're spaces created to bring people together.

Each location has its own character, but both share the same passion for exceptional coffee, thoughtful details, and a welcoming atmosphere.

Discover where quality meets community.

BRÜ₁ - The Heart

Our first café is where a shared obsession with specialty coffee and culinary craft truly comes to life. Located in Basel's Breite quarter, BRÜ₁ is a 5-minute walk from Wettsteinplatz tram stop (Tram 2, 15). The café sits along the Rhine path — perfect for a post-walk coffee after strolling along the river.

We don't just serve coffee; we curate it. With rotating single origins and guest roasters alongside our house selection from Dabov Specialty Coffee, every visit brings something new to discover. Every coffee is available in two roast profiles: Classic (chocolatey, nutty, comforting) and Specialty (fruity, bright, complex).

But the real star? Our renowned weekend brunch every Saturday and Sunday — from fluffy pancakes with fresh berries to perfectly poached eggs benedict with hollandaise. As the sun sets, BRÜ₁ transforms into a cozy after-work destination with hand-crafted cocktails (Aperol Spritz, Espresso Martini, Kyiv Mule), Spanish wines, craft beers, and signature charcuterie and finger food.

From the first pour of the day to the last toast of the night — welcome to BRÜ.

MENU VISIT BRÜ₁ — THE HEART

The Space

BRÜ₁ seats around 40 guests inside across cozy tables and a long communal bar, with an additional 20 seats on our sun-facing terrace during warmer months. The interior blends raw concrete walls with warm wood accents, vintage furniture, and soft ambient lighting — equally inviting for a quiet morning coffee, a laptop work session, or evening drinks with friends. The open layout lets you watch our baristas craft every drink, and the aroma of freshly ground coffee fills the room from morning to evening.

Guest Roasters

We regularly feature guest roasters alongside our house selection from Dabov Specialty Coffee. These rotating collaborations bring new flavor profiles to our menu and let you explore beans from some of Europe's most exciting micro-roasteries. Ask our baristas about the current guest roaster — there's always something new to discover. Take your favourites home from our coffee bean collection.
