Costa Rica Thermal
Tasting Notes: Fruity • Caramelized • Sweet
Costa Rica Thermal is a specialty coffee that impresses with its unique profile — the result of an innovative thermal processing method. This involves the controlled exposure of the beans to high temperatures before fermentation, which activates and highlights the natural sugars and creates an extremely sweet, complex flavour, rich in fruity and caramelized nuances.
Produced by Manuel Navarro at Finca La Ortiga in the renowned Tarrazú region, this Catuai variety is grown at 1,780 masl where the high altitude and volcanic soil create ideal conditions for specialty coffee production. The thermal process is a cutting-edge technique pioneered by Costa Rican producers, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in coffee processing. The result is a cup with extraordinary sweetness and a complexity that evolves with every sip.
Brewing Recommendation: Best enjoyed as a V60 pour-over or AeroPress. Pair with a caramel flan or fresh tropical fruit salad.
